Meath East TD, Helen McEntee, attended last Thursday’s committee meeting. Helen has helped guide the group in seeking funding to get kick started as quickly as possible. The committee presented an overview of the work completed to date and a discussion of the timeline of events required to get the group online along with the initial and projected operational budgets. Helen has agreed to be the group’s patron and will attend meetings as her schedule permits.
Darren Connolly, a partner with Byrne Curtin Kelly Accountants, also attended the meeting. Darren is helping structure the organization and getting us registered as a charity. This will help ensure that the maximum possible funding is spent on operations and maximize the chances of getting donations into the group.
