ACFR has taken delivery of two AEDs from Flashpoint Systems (flashpointsystems.ie). We’ve also purchased two trainers that are identical to the real AEDs and allow responders to practice with equipment that behaves in exactly the same way as the real thing will in the field. As we also bought training manikins we’re now completely self-sufficient for training equipment and no longer need to borrow gear. Thanks to Red Cross and Civil Defense for helping us out.
All we have left is paperwork, which will be completed at our training night on Feb 17th. Once that is done and handed over to the National Ambulance Service we’ll be operational with weeks.
Thanks to all who helped us get this far and to all who made donations to our collection and bag packing.
